Vision
Government and politics is made more open, accountable, and responsive to
citizens through continuous citizen engagement
Mission
We use our platform to connect people across the world with a common goal of researching and publishing information; sparking debate on issues; starting investigation into social misdeeds among other things. Our stated goal is to achieve a more effective, accountable, open, ethical government and democracy. By creating and deploying cutting edge technology solutions, social innovation platforms, we strive to continuously drive the ismprovement of the standards in governance by revealing corrupt practices, misconduct; detecting conflicts of interest; conducting advocacy to influence legislation to correct of life on the African continent.
Strategy
We have built and use a social community platform to bring people together. The communities conduct researches; publish citizen reports; run petitions and campaigns; drive community engagement work; champion good government reforms through advocacy and citizen journalism.
We do drive investigative journalism sometimes with sources inside the government .

We use whistle-blowers to document evidence of corruption, waste, fraud, or abuse. Many of our nation’s most dedicated citizens work in and around the federal government. When they come across information revealing serious misconduct, and they rightfully believe that they would risk losing their job if they came forward and “blew the whistle” on the wrong doing they see, they work with us to make it publish and get information sent to the right authorities for investigation.

WDA investigators and journalists take leads and information from insiders and verify the information through investigations using the “Freedom Of Information Act,” interviews, and other fact-finding strategies. We then disseminate our findings to the media, legislature, and public interest groups through alerts, statements, studies, and journalistic reports.

We are both a technology and people driven platform, we are constantly creating and deploying cutting edge technology which primarily uses tools of civic tech, open data policy analysis and journalism to make our government and politics more accountable and transparent to all. Our passion is to use technology to enable more complete, equitable and effective democratic participation.
We connect people, stimulate open debates to drive game changing governance,
account-ability and social reforms in our society
